Please note that case submissions and rounds attendance will be open to the CCR intramural research community only, and may include select participants from other NIH Institutes and the CBSTP's partner universities.

Do you have questions about the pathology of your animal model system? The NIH CBSTP announces Diagnostic Consultations Rounds for Experimental Models, a series of educational, discussion-based interactive sessions focusing on pathology of experimental animal models used by CCR investigators. Rounds sessions are open to the CCR community and will provide educational, discussion-based interactive sessions focusing on pathology of experimental animal models used by CCR investigators. CBSTP veterinary pathologist fellows will present selected cases in a panel-based discussion format that reviews preliminary histologic findings, interpretations, and diagnoses.

Your animal model could be reviewed in an educational forum led by a panel of CBSTP veterinary pathology research fellows!

Submission process for case consideration: 

  1. CCR researchers provide glass slides (to be returned after scanning) or digital whole-slide images.
  2. Submitters complete a case submission form describing the model, specimen details, and any questions they may have.
  3. CBSTP reviews and selects cases for inclusion in panel discussions.
  4. Submitters are notified regarding the status of their case submission.

Professional diagnostic interpretations by NIH CBSTP veterinary pathologists are interim assessments intended for educational purposes and are not designed to establish research findings.
