Dr. Gentry was awarded the 2016-2018 Kleberg Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania's Medical Genetics Section and was named the 2018 AKC Canine Health Foundation Clinician-Scientist Fellow. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine pursuing a Ph.D. She is researching the heritability of renal dysplasia in Cairn Terriers with the goal of developing a DNA-based diagnostic marker.
