Pharmacological manipulation of an autophagy-inducing drug, trehalose. Modification through liposome encapsulation, to allow passage through blood-brain barrier to induce autophagy in the treatment of gliomas and other neurological diseases.

Dr. Templeton worked as a research scientist in the Dept. of Population Health Sciences, Virginia Tech; through cooperative agreement with the USDA/CAHIA, Fort Collins, CO, working on utilizing and creating dynamic stochastic models to better understand avian influenza transmission. He is currenly employed as a Systems Engineer at Luna Innovations in Blacksburg, Virginia. He also serves as a consultant for Dextronix, a veterinary medical device company, providing interdisciplinary expertise.
